(Frame loom Weaving)
The project dealt with traditions and technologies. It emphasized on how social identities are constructed by the use of culture through poems and languages. The aim was to create a body of artwork derived from a poem or a quote using weaving as a technique in non-conventional ways.

Inspiration
I chose INDIAN WEAVERS a poem by “Sarojini Naidu”.

The poet tells about the life-cycle of a human being( Childhood, Youth, and Old age) by addressing to the weavers working all over the Indian nation. She compares the childhood to attractive wings of a kingfisher, youth to plumes of a peacock and old age to a white old feather.
Frame loom
I wove on a Frame Loom(self-made) inspired by the metaphorical comparisons the poet has made in her poetry.
The frame indicates the 'track' of human life
Weaving done by using 2/20 cotton yarns
