Weaving for fashion and spaces

This project dealt with weaving for “Fashion and Spaces”. We had to choose from a given set of themes to work upon and translate the same into a range of coordinated woven fabrics for a specific user.

Inspiration

I chose Tartans(culture of Scotland) as my theme for “fashion”. Tartans are the most famous textile and an iconic symbol of Scotland. Inspired by the checks pattern and different blends of colors I arrived at a collection of handwoven fabrics which can be used for scarves, shoes and shawls.
