This module emphasized on using and extending the knowledge of basic weaves to deconstruct and rethink the intersections of warp and weft within a weave structure to create new textures and surfaces.

Inspiration

I chose one of the architectural works as my theme to work upon. It’s a white marble mausoleum comprising intricate stone carvings and is considered to be the most sacred building of the particular place.

The 'white monochromatic color scheme' and the carving details of the mausoleum caught my attention. This enhanced my learning about developing textures and surfaces using different threads.
