Screen Printed Fabrics

This was a screen printing module which dealt with developing motifs in different layers to be exposed onto different screens. Exploring ways to create repeats and experiment with colors corresponding to different layers was the emphasis.

Inspiration

We were given two words “Organic and Man-made” to be inspired from. Further classification of these two words helped me to come up with the concept of showing a contrast between the two and also how man made things are overpowering organic things. The interpretations of the two are through literal and abstract patterns showing the contrast and the suppression each time .

Printing was done using different colors on various fabrics (from synthetic to cotton)
